Kristel Elizabeth Gomez is a Los Angeles-based Latina cinematographer with a B.A. in Communication, a minor in Photography from the University of Incarnate Word, and an M.F.A in Cinematography from Mount Saint Mary’s University.

She considers herself a passionate individual who constantly seeks to expose herself to new stimuli across all creative fields. Her approach to cinematography can be attributed to her experience freelancing in production and exposure to many different environments and personalities while living in New York City, London, and Los Angeles.

Kristel’s work currently consists of shooting narratives, PSAs, editorials, music videos, and documentaries to round out her experience in all media. Her work has been recognized by the Golden State Film Festival, Nevada Women’s Film Festival, the City of Angeles Film Festival, and more. Kristel is also a proud member of Women In Film, Women of Color Filmmakers, Chicana’s Directors Initiative, and Associate Member of The Society of Camera Operators.

In 2022, she filmed the award-winning short La Siguanaba, which premiered at the Golden State Film Festival. She is currently filming the Documentary Series Far East LA for ITVS, where she will serve as Director of Photography for the entire series.
